ERKKA NISSINEN

Erkka Nissinen (born 1975) is a Finnish artist who lives and works in Helsinki and New York. Over the past ten years he has dedicated himself to a consistent body of work of absurdist videos and performances. In 2007 and 2008 he attended a residency at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam.

During 2011 Rotterdam Art Fair, Nissinen won the acclaimed Illy Prize. In 2013, he was awarded with the AVEK Prize for media art.
